View Dates & Prices

Discover the highlights dotted along the Danube on this short River Cruise Holiday from Vienna to Budapest.

Spend your first night in Austria's opulent capital, Vienna, before enjoying a guided city tour and embarking the MS Amadeus Danubia for your four night cruise.  To enhance the cruise experience, guided city tours of Bratislava and Budapest are also included. These excursions are led by expert local guides who will share their wealth of knowledge and take you to the highlights of each destination. An optional excursion will also be offered in the scenic Hungarian city of Esztergom.

Enjoy wonderful views as you sail down Europe’s longest waterway. Much smaller than an ocean liner, the ship will take you into the heart of most cities you visit, giving you more time to visit the attractions and enjoy your time ashore.

Holiday highlights

MS Amadeus Danubia 3*
The MS Danubia is a small and comfortable ship, with a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere compared to an ocean liner. All passenger cabins are outward facing with expansive windows offering clear views of the river and you can also enjoy incredible views on one of the sun decks, lounge or bar areas as you cruise past some of the best scenery in Europe.
Vienna
Lying in the east of the country, along the Danube, Austria’s capital is packed with history and grandeur. A buzzing metropolis, where modern design sits side by side opulent palaces, Vienna is a city of music, coffee houses, culinary delights and rich history.
Bratislava
Located in a picturesque setting, between Austria and Hungary, along the banks of the Danube, the capital of Slovakia is surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian Mountains. The city, especially the old town, is best explored on foot in order to appreciate the narrow streets of pastel coloured buildings and medieval architecture.
Budapest
Budapest became one city after the unification of the cities Buda and Pest on opposite sides of the river in 1873. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Danube’ Budapest is one of the most magnificent cities in Europe and during your panoramic city tour you will witness the glorious architecture of Hungary’s parliament building, the beautiful Crown Bridge and the gothic castle of Buda.
