Most bars offer a free tapa with every drink ordered. They can be anything from a slice of bread and cheese or jamon (cured ham), to a fried quail’s egg or a plate of olives or boquerones (anchovies). This is an enjoyable way to take in local atmosphere, practice your Spanish, and discover new taste sensations! Holiday highlights

Seville
On the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville is the city of Carmen, Don Juan and Figaro. Its vibrant historic centre boasts remarkable sites, including the cathedral and La Giralda tower, the vast and impressive Alcázar Palace and gardens, and the Santa Cruz quarter with its flower-filled balconies and hidden courtyards. Across the river lies the lively quarter of La Triana, known for its flamenco music and charming narrow streets.
Muelle de las Carabelas (the Quay of the Caravels)
the Caravel is a small sailing ship that was used by Christopher Columbus for his voyage to the Americas. When visiting this museum you can see replicas of the Pinta, the Nina and the Santa Maria and really understand what life was like on board during these epic voyages.
La Rabida
this Franciscan monastery has been in existence for over 500 years and Columbus spent two years here when planning his first voyage. The building displays elements of Gothic and Moorish revival architecture and houses relics from the discovery of America..
Punta Umbria
this buzzing resort is located on the beach closest to the town of Huelva. It is surrounded by some stunning landscapes including the Coto Doñana National Park with its beautiful bird life including colourful colonies of Flamingos. There are numerous beaches to enjoy and lots of other seaside towns to visit from here on your free days.
