Your Guided Group Holiday To Louth & Meath
Let’s experience some of Leinster's finest gardens on this short garden break in Ireland. The first stop of our garden holiday will be Rosie Maye’s garden who you may also know as the blogger ‘Insomniac Gardener’ who has a wonderful passion for gardening. We’ll learn more about the Irish and World War One poet Francis Ledwidge, who was tragically killed in the Great War, by visiting his birthplace which is now a museum. We’ll discover Kilgar House Garden, uncover an important part of Irish history at the Battle of the Boyne centre, then explore the historic Collon House Gardens, which was home to the last speaker of the Irish House of Commons. Next we’ll see the 15th century Barmeath Castle, which has belonged to the Bellew family since the 1670s, and later we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Beaulieu House & Garden, located on the Boyne river. Before returning home, our final highlights will be the charming Cottages at Bettystown and John Lord’s acclaimed garden centre. Join us to discover the gardens of Louth & Meath on this inspirational garden holiday.
