Your Guided Group Holiday To Shakespeare's Gardens & the Cotswolds
Let’s discover some of the best gardens in England. We’ll be perfectly based in the heart of Shakespeare country in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. On this tour, we’ll see the houses and gardens associated with England’s greatest playwright, William Shakespeare. The first highlight of our garden holiday will be Spetchley Park Gardens, which has an incredible range of rare plants, shrubs and trees from around the world. We’ll visit Anne Hathaway’s cottage, where she resided before they were married and Shakespeare’s New Place. Although the house was demolished in 1759, a registered garden has been designed to commemorate the importance of the site. We’ll see the wonderful countryside of the surrounding district of the Cotswolds and explore two of England’s most renowned gardens – Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court Gardens. So join us on this guided garden holiday and relive some of Shakespeare’s greatest stories.

Upon arrival in Birmingham, we travel together to Spetchley Park Gardens. Home to the Berkeley family for over 400 years the gardens have an extensive collection of rare plants, shrubs and trees from all around the world. Surrounded by ancient parkland and lakes, the historic garden is set in the Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills
Transfer to our hotel in Statford upon Avon where a welcome meal has been arranged this evening.
Hidcote Manor Garden & Kifsgate Garden
Hidcote Manor Garden
This morning we enjoy a visit to Hidcote Manor Garden, created by Lawrence Johnson and now managed by the National Trust and is one of the best known Arts and Crafts gardens in Britain - it contains hedges, rare trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders. There will be a short stop en route in Broadway, a delightful Cotswold village - free time for coffee.
Explore Kiftsgate Garden
In the afternoon, we will visit the renowned Cotswold garden of Kiftsgate Court Gardens; the creation of three generations of women gardeners and includes a Water Garden, a White Sunk Garden and is known for its famous Kiftsgate rose.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we being a full day visiting the houses and gardens in Stratford on Avon associated with Shakespeare with a pre-arranged lunch (at own expense) at Mary Arden's Farm.
Coton Manor Gardens and Cottesbrook House & Garden

This morning there will be an opportunity for an optional short stroll to visit Shakespeare’s New place before checking out of our hotel. Our first visit of the day is to Coton Manor Gardens, a typical English garden which comprises of a series of distinctive smaller gardens, providing variety and interest throughout the season, and enhanced by flowing streams, fountains, and ponds.
Cottesbrook House & Garden and return to Dublin
Our afternoon visit is to Cottesbroke Hall & Gardens where the formal and ‘wild’ gardens surrounding a wonderful Queen Anne house have been mainly developed during the 20th Century. These developments continue today involving a number of distinguished, contemporary designers.
Transfer to Birmingham airport for our return flight to Dublin.
