Explore the land of the Incas on this incredible holiday to Peru. With a wonderfully varied landscape, including beautiful beaches that snake along the coastline, the towering Andes mountain range that boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in South America, and cities with splendid colonial architecture, Peru is one of the most fascinating countries in the world.

Begin your journey of the Land of the Incas in the bustling sea-side capitcal city of Lima. Towering above a beautiful coastline of crumbling cliffs, Lima is a stunning contrast of high-rise modern buildings erected alongside pre-Columbian temples. Peru's capital is a unique blend of history, culture, natural wonders and gastronomic delights. From the multitude of museums with works of art, beautiful beaches and boardwalks, remarkable archaeological sites and tasty cuisine, you'll be spoiled for things to see and do.

You'll enjoy a unique excursion to Lake Titicaca, South America's largest lake and interestingly the world's highest navigable body of water. While admiring the stunning, shimmering blue waters of the lake, you'll be intrigued by the stories of how this region was at the centre of some of the most influential pre-Hispanic cultures of the Andean Region.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy some time in the cosmopolitan city of Cusco, the undisputed archaeological capital of South America. Prepare to be amazed by the ornate cathedrals, Inca temples and breathtaking ruins of the original city of Cusco, including Kenko, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman. Cusco is also the gateway for the awe-inspiring ancient city of Machu Picchu. Despite its popularity among tourists, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Machu Picchu still retains an air of mystery and authenticity.

On this once-in-a-lifetime trip to Peru, you will get to know the true nature of Peru, its people, history, and multi-faceted heritage, an unforgettable adventure awaits you.

Start your full day excursion to Lake Titicaca with a visit to the Uros Islands, made of reeds and rising six metres above lake level. They are anchored by logs and connected to each other by ropes. The main activities of the people who live here are fishing and handcrafting several items that they sell to visitors. After lunch, continue to Taquile Island, a small spot of land in the middle of Lake Titicaca. This island has two essential characteristics; its geography, offering a spectacular view from its hills and its standing as a first-rate textile centre.

Your transfer will include several sightseeing and photo stops including one in La Raya, the highest point on the road between Puno and Cusco. The Plaza del Armas is a highlight of the city. Afterwards, you will explore the ruins of the original city of Cusco, including Kenko, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman. The walled complex of Sacsayhuaman is a magnificent part of the city, while the nearby ruin Kenko is believed to have once been a place for sacrifices and mummification.
