On arrival in Rome, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel in Fiuggi.
Day at leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Fiuggi. Stroll through its pleasant streets, adorned with Liberty style facades and tree-lined parks, and check out the many small shops, cafes and restaurants. In the hilltop old town, enter via the original Portella and wander the cobbled streets, dotted with tiny churches and fountains. Sturdy shoes are recommended here! Take a coffee and a breather, and admire magnificent views over the Lazio countryside.
Perugia & Assisi
After an early wake-up call and breakfast at your hotel, set off for a full day guided excursion to Perugia and Assisi, in the verdant region of Umbria. (230km/journey time 2.5 hours approx.)
You will have a walking tour of Assisi, the spiritual capital of the region and birthplace of St. Francis, plus free time to explore the town and take in its special atmosphere.
Continuing to the historic centre of Perugia, enjoy an afternoon walking tour viewing the city’s Etruscan walls, medieval churches and Baroque palaces, before returning to your hotel in the early evening.
You will have a full day to relax and take it easy. Your guide will be happy to offer suggestions for activities and places to see in Fiuggi and the surrounding area.
Depart your hotel early this morning for a full day excursion to Ancient Rome, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum (viewed from the outside) as well Piazza Venezia and the Trevi Fountain. You will have free time for lunch, shopping and sightseeing before returning to Fiuggi in the afternoon.
You will have today free for shopping and relaxing in the lovely town of Fiuggi. You may wish to indulge in one of the thermal spa treatments for which Fiuggi is renowned.

After an early breakfast, depart your hotel for an excursion to Rome (60km), where you will have a guided tour of St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums. You will visit the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. Here you can view Michelangelo's most famous work, which changed the course of Western art. There will be free time for lunch and independent sightseeing before returning to your hotel for your evening meal.
After breakfast, check out and settle any hotel charges you may have incurred.
Depart by coach transfer to Rome Airport for your return flight. Pick up times will be advised locally.
