Travel Advice

Covid 19 – Updates for our customers.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, we are continuously reviewing our holiday departures based on the latest government updates. This unfortunately this has led to the cancellation of many of our tours.

As we are a tour operator and create the holidays that we sell, we have significant expertise available to us. We stay completely up to date on all events and are following the situations in as close to real time as possible both with airlines and on the ground where our tours operate. We are continuously contacting customers who had booked a holiday with cancellation information and are doing this in date order. Currently we are contacting customers who had booked to travel in May and June.

Please note that due to the latest government advice that our physical office is now closed but we are still operating remotely. If you have sent any documentation by post to our offices, we will not be in a position to action this until the restrictions are lifted. You can of course continue to contact us by phone or email.

I have already booked a Holiday and would like to know if it will be impacted?

If your tour has been impacted a member of our team will be in contact with you. We are working through the impacted tours in order of departure date and prioritising customers whose tour was due to depart on a rolling 2 to 4 weeks basis. Currently we are working on tours that were due to depart May & June.

If your tour is booked for later in the year, please do bear with us as we monitor how the situation is unfolding which continues to change.

I am concerned. Can I cancel my holiday?

Travel Department is a responsible tour operator and we will always follow the advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and will cancel holidays accordingly.  We will then contact customers with options and we are currently contacting customers in date of departure order on a rolling 2 to 4 week basis.

Presently, we are reviewing all our tours in May and June. If you choose to cancel or change a holiday departing later in the year, our standard booking Terms and Conditions currently apply.

We hope this information is helpful and that it acts as a reminder that when you book with Travel Department, we will look after you every step of the way as your safety is paramount.

Peace of mind with Belfast Telegraph & Travel Department
