We are experiencing a very high level of calls. Please bear with us whilst we prioritise those who were due to travel in the next 14 days. We are working very hard to contact customers and doing this in date order. If you are due to travel in March or April we will be in contact as soon as we can.
Coronavirus – Updates for our customers.
We have created this update to both put your mind at rest and also to give you the information that you need.
Travel Department is a tour operator and because we create the holidays that we sell, we have significant expertise available to us both in our office and on the ground in every destination we travel to. We stay completely up to date on all events and are following the situations in as close to real time as possible which means that we are ready to update our customers on anything they need to know.
Our customers’ health and wellbeing is of paramount importance to us so be assured that we will be in contact should the situation change.
I have already booked a Holiday and would like to know if it will be impacted?
At present, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is changing very rapidly, and we are currently working to advise customers of changes to their holiday plans in date order.
If you are due to travel in March, we will be in touch in the next few days.
If you are due to travel in April, please bear with us. If we believe your holiday might be affected we will be in touch in due course
We take our advice directly from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. You may find this link to their website useful: gov.uk/travelaware
Other advice on how to minimise the risk of contracting Coronavirus can be found here: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public.
I am concerned. Can I cancel my holiday?
Travel Department is a responsible tour operator and we will always follow the advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Should the FCO advice change for a country, or a region of that country and it warns against travel (or non-essential travel), we would of course not put our customers in harm’s way. At this stage, we would cancel the holiday and we will contact customers to provide options.
Currently we are reviewing all our tours in March and April. If you choose to cancel or change a holiday departing later in the year, our standard booking Terms and Conditions currently apply.
We hope this information is helpful and that it acts as a reminder that when you book with Travel Department, we will look after you every step of the way as your safety is paramount.
