Costa de la Luz & Seville

Fly to Faro in Portugal, where you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel in one of the seaside towns of Punta Umbría or Islantilla, depending on your chosen date. 

Your hotel will be approximately 120km from Spain’s Costa de la Luz, giving you a relaxed base for your holiday.

Join us this morning as we depart for Ayamonte.

• First, we’ll board the ferry across the Guadiana River to Vila Real
• Explore the capital of the Villa Real district, a charming city located in the picturesque Trás-os-Montes region
• Our knowledgeable guide will offer fascinating insights into the area’s history and culture
• Spend some free time exploring the city at your own pace
• Return by ferry to the hotel

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
 

This morning, set off on a guided excursion to Niebla.

• A historic town established during the time of the Moors 
• We’ll visit a wine museum at Bodegas Andrade Then, we’ll take a short walking tour through the vineyards 
• Learn about the ancient art of wine production  
• Taste four different wines, including the famous Andalucian Vino de Naranja, or orange wine

There will be free time for lunch before returning to your hotel.

Today is free for you to spend as you wish on the Costa de la Luz.

• Travel along the coast to one of the nearby seaside towns for lunch
• Relax on one of the area’s many beaches
• Revel in the slower pace of your surroundings

Begin the day with a visit to Huelva, where you will have free time for shopping and exploring this lovely port city.

After your time in Huelva, continue your excursion by retracing the steps of Christopher Columbus. 

• Your first visit is the nearby Franciscan Monastery of La Rábida
• Columbus called this place home while planning his first voyage to the New World
• Afterwards, continue to the Muelle de las Carabelas or Quay of the Caravels
• Discover historical artefacts and what life was like on board the ships

Today, we’ll visit Seville, Andalucía’s lively and colourful city on the banks of the River Guadalquivir.

Famous for flamenco, tapas and its rich cultural and architectural heritage, Seville is a memorable highlight of holidays to Costa de la Luz.

During our panoramic city tour by coach, we’ll view landmarks such as:

• San Telmo Palace
• The Golden Tower

We’ll also make stops at two of Seville’s most iconic sights:

• Plaza de España
• The Alcazar, with entrance included

Today is free for you to enjoy the Costa de la Luz at your leisure. You may wish to: 

• Take a stroll on the beach 
• Pause for a cool drink and a few tapas
• Browse for souvenirs before your holiday comes to an end
