Discover Vienna & Bratislava

Our twin-city adventure begins as we fly to Vienna, where we are welcomed by our local representative before transferring to our hotel.

This evening, we come together for a welcome meal at our hotel. It's the perfect opportunity to get to know our fellow travellers and receive helpful tips and recommendations from our local guide for the days ahead.

Today we explore the imperial splendour of Vienna on a full-day guided excursion. 

• Our day begins at the magnificent Hofburg Palace
• This is the former winter residence of the Habsburg emperors and the setting for the historic Congress of Vienna 
• Here, we'll enjoy a guided tour of the Imperial Apartments 
• We’ll also visit the fascinating Sisi Museum, dedicated to the life of Empress Elisabeth 
• Later, we continue to the elegant Schönbrunn Palace
• We'll admire the palace from the outside before taking a guided stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens of the former summer residence of Empress Sisi

This evening, we visit the renowned Cobenzl Winery, where we'll enjoy a guided tour with a local wine expert before sampling six regional wines during an included tasting.

Today is free for you to experience Vienna however you choose. 

• Browse the city's elegant shopping streets Relax in one of its famous cafés 
• Visit one of its world-class museums 
• Art lovers may wish to explore the Kunsthistorisches Museum, home to masterpieces by artists including Raphael, Caravaggio, Brueghel and Bosch.

Today we check out of our hotel in Vienna and depart for Bratislava. 

We will transfer from our hotel to the port in Vienna to board the Twin City Liner cruise for Bratislava. Sit back and enjoy this cruise down the Danube and admire the beautiful scenery as we pass through one of Europe’s most famous waterways.

On arrival in Bratislava, we transfer to our hotel before enjoying the remainder of the afternoon at leisure. 

Take the opportunity to begin exploring this charming riverside capital or simply relax and enjoy its welcoming atmosphere.

This morning, we explore the highlights of Bratislava on a guided walking tour.

• Beginning at Michael's Gate, we'll stroll through the beautifully restored Old Town
• Here, we’ll discover many of the city's most important landmarks, including the elegant Primatial Palace, St. Martin's Cathedral
• This was once the coronation church of Hungarian kings, and the historic Academia Istropolitana, the city's oldest university
• Along the way, we'll also pass the Old Town Hall, the Opera House, Maximilian Fountain, and the lively Main Square
  

Following our guided tour, we come together to enjoy lunch in a traditional Slovak restaurant before spending the remainder of the day at leisure.

Today we visit the impressive Schloss Hof, the former country residence of Empress Maria Theresa.

During our guided tour, we'll discover the castle's elegant Baroque interiors before enjoying free time to wander through its beautifully maintained gardens.

Later, we return to Bratislava, where the afternoon is free to explore at your own pace.

• Relax in one of the city's cafés before our final evening

Today we bid farewell to Bratislava and our memorable journey through Austria and Slovakia. 

We transfer to Bratislava Airport with guide assistance for our return flight home, taking with us wonderful memories of two beautiful capital cities, scenic Danube cruising and unforgettable cultural experiences.
