On this 3-night garden break in Wexford, we'll enjoy a trip to the award winning Cois na hAbhann Garden Centre which offers a fantastic range of plants. Experience the serenity of Johnstown Castle Gardens and its ornamental lakes, the historic Altamont Gardens and explore Coolaught Gardens, a family business. We'll also visit a variety of private gardens, some of which are open on occasions and others which are opening exclusively for our group. This garden holiday is a fantastic opportunity to discover some of the best-known gardens in Wexford.

Cois na hAbhann Garden Centre & Private Garden Visits
Depart Dublin & Cois na hAbhann Garden Centre
Morning
We depart today, with our expert gardener Brona Dore, from The Alex Hotel in Dublin. Our first visit of the day is to a private garden in Gorey followed by a visit to Cois na hAbhann Garden Centre in Camolin.
Private Garden Visits
Afternoon
Our afternoon will be spent exploring two more private gardens in Camolin before we travel onwards to the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey where our tour is based. An evening meal is included each night during out stay.

Full Day
Following a leisurely breakfast we depart our hotel for a visit to a private garden near New Ross before continuing onwards to Johnstown Castle Estate. The Johnstown Castle gardens and lakes you see today were developed by the Grogan family, who brought their romantic vision to life with the help of the extraordinary 19th century garden designer Daniel Roberston.
We will return to our hotel later this afternoon.
Private Gardens and Altamont Gardens

Morning
This morning we start our day with a visit to a private garden in Bunclody followed by a visit to Altamont Gardens near Tullow, Co Carlow. The estate, covering almost 40 acres , is laid out in the style of William Robinson, which strives for ‘honest simplicity’ blending formal and informal gardens.

Following some free time for lunch (at own expense) we will enjoy a guided visit to another private garden in Bunclody before returning to our hotel in the afternoon.
Coolaught Gardens, Beechdale Garden Centre & Private Garden Visit

Morning
After checking out of our hotel we will depart for a morning visit to Coolaught Gardens in Enniscorthy, a country farmhouse garden which blends old and new favourites in an informal setting. Our next visit of the morning is to Beechdale Garden Centre in Clonroche where we will have free time for shopping and lunch (at own expense)
Private Garden & Return to Dublin
Afternoon
This afternoon we will have a private garden visit in Coolgreany, Co Wexford before returning to The Alex Hotel, Dublin in the late afternoon.
