The spectacular scenery and beautiful gardens of Yorkshire await us on this fantastic garden holiday. We’ll be based in the historic spa town of Harrogate, ideally located to enjoy day trips to the region’s most incredible gardens. We'll enjoy visits to Newby Hall, a magnificent stately home renowned for its exquisite architecture and landscaped gardens. Other highlights include Breezy Knees Gardens which boasts over 6,000 different plant varieties and RHS Harlow Carr Garden has enchanting woodland areas. Experience the wild countryside that was home to the famous Brontë sisters, which inspired the novels of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. We'll visit their home, which is now a museum and contains an impressive collection of their manuscripts, letters and poetry.

Bronte Parsonage & RHS Harlow Carr Garden
Depart Dublin & Bronte Parsonage
This morning, we meet our expert guide, Rosie Maye, at Dublin Airport for our flight to Leeds Bradford. Upon arrival, we transfer to the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth for a guided tour. This historic home of the Brontë sisters is where they penned their iconic novels. You’ll also have time to visit the nearby parish church vault, the final resting place of the family—except for Anne.
RHS Harlow Carr Garden
In the afternoon, we continue to the RHS Garden Harlow Carr, spanning 58 acres of beautifully designed spaces including formal and contemporary borders, vegetable plots, wildflower meadows, and a striking bog garden.
Later in the day, we transfer to the charming town of Harrogate, where we’ll be based for the remainder of the tour.
Enjoy dinner together this evening at our hotel.
Scampston Hall Gardens, Breezy Knees Gardens & Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens
Scampston Hall Gardens
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart our hotel and travel to Scampston Walled Garden. Designed in 1996 by renowned landscape architect Piet Oudolf, this imaginative garden showcases his signature prairie-style planting. Here, formal and asymmetrical topiary blend seamlessly with sweeping landforms, vibrant perennials, and ornamental grasses.
Breezy Knees Gardens
Next, we visit Breezy Knees Gardens, one of the largest gardens in northern England, spanning over 20 acres. Here, we’ll wander through vibrant floral borders, admire sparkling fountains, and enjoy a stunning array of blossoms in full bloom.
Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens
Our final visit today takes us to Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens, an organically managed, wildlife-friendly haven near York. Often described as a quintessential English garden, it has been lovingly cultivated over the past 40 years by Vanessa and John Cook, creating a charming and serene family retreat.

After checking out of our hotel, we begin the day with a visit to the Harrogate Spring Show—the first major event in the national gardening calendar. This prestigious show features spectacular garden displays, inspiring live talks and demonstrations, and the country’s largest exhibition by florists and flower arrangers.
York Gate Perennial Garden
In the afternoon, we visit York Gate Garden, a beautifully designed one-acre space inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement. This enchanting garden offers a perfect blend of structure, charm, and seasonal beauty.
Return to Dublin
Later in the afternoon, we transfer to Leeds Bradford Airport for our return flight to Dublin, marking the end of a delightful few days exploring the Gardens of Yorkshire.
