Your Guided Group Holiday To Montenegro

Experience the countryside and coastline of Montenegro with us on this 7-night solo traveller holiday. Located just south of Dubrovnik, this Adriatic gem has an abundance of beautiful blue flag beaches, historic old towns, crystal-clear lakes and remarkable landscapes. We’ll be based in a beautiful beachside resort in Becici, just 3km from the historical coastal town of Budva; and on our first night in Montenegro, we’ll get to know our fellow solo travellers over dinner and a welcome drink. We’ll explore the historical coastal town of Budva, take a scenic drive through the Serpentine mountain road, visit Cetinje, the old Royal Capital and take a boat trip around the breath-taking Boka Bay to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor. This solo traveller holiday also includes plenty of leisure time, so we can relax or discover other local attractions independently or with our fellow travellers.

Travel to Montenegro

Transfer to Budva

Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, Croatia you will be met by your local guide who will assist you in the transfer to your beachfront hotel in Budva, Montenegro. Transfer time is approx. 2hrs (subject to traffic).

The afternoon is yours to do as you please, you can unpack and relax by the pool or explore the surroundings of your hotel.

Budva Walking tour

After breakfast, depart your hotel by coach to Budva (3km) for a half day guided walking tour. Discover this ancient town's remarkable history and its medieval catholic and orthodox churches, Citadel and charming small squares. Entrance to the St Trinity Church and Citadel Fortress included. Pick up times will be advised locally.

The afternoon can be enjoyed at your own pace. You could use this time to get to know your group a little better or do a spot of shopping in the variety of tiny shops lining the narrow streets.

Today you might like to cool off in the clear aquamarine waters of the Adriatic or spend some time lazing by the hotel pool instead. You may also fancy trying out some local dishes in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Your guide can also suggest things for you to do.

Today's full day excursion takes you to the historical heart of Montenegro and through its fascinating landscape. Learn about the glory of the old royal capital, Cetinje, where a visit to the King Nikola's Palace and Monastery of Saint Peter are included.

Explore Njegusi Village and Serpentine Mountain Road

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Njegusi Village, the birthplace of the Petrovic dynasty, and visit a traditional Montenegrin restaurant to try a few tasty local specialties. You will return to Budva through the spectacular Serpentine Mountain Road built in the late 19th century, connecting Kotor and Njegusi.

Explore Budva at Your Own Pace

Today will be free for you to relax at the hotel or get together with your new travel friends and explore Budva at your own pace. Why not re visit churches, visit the most photographed site in Montenegro - Sveti Stefan or just sit and relax with a coffee by the sea.

Boka Bay

Boka Bay Boat Trip

After breakfast, set off for a full day excursion around Boka Bay by boat. You will travel across the fjord-like bay of Kotor to visit one of two artificial islets off the coast of Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks, and its quaint Roman Catholic Church. Continue on to the pretty coastal town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival, your local guide will take you on a tour of the town and the Old Port, with its surrounding fortifications built during the Venetian period. Afterwards, you will have free time for lunch and to explore at your own pace before travelling back to your hotel in Budva. Please note that the boat trip finishes in Kotor and you will return to Budva by coach. In case of bad sailing weather, the boat trip will be replaced by a regular coach tour.

You have the final day of your holiday to yourself to get a last dip in the Adriatic sea or pick up some souvenirs to take home.

Optional Excursion to Albania

Why not take a trip over the border today and take in another country. Begin your day with a drive along the Adriatic coast to the southeast of Montenegro, making a stop to visit the historic town of Bar, surrounded by Mount Rumija on three sides. Continue the journey towards Albania, where on arrival you will feel like you are in a completely different world. Enjoy a guided tour of the 2400 year old town of Shkoder where you will learn about some of the legends, notably that of Rosafa.  Nowadays, Shkoder is the industrial and cultural centre of Albania. Lunch is included and there will also be some time for shopping before returning to Budva in time for dinner. Tour is subject to minimum numbers.

Return Home

Depart Montenegro

Transfer from your hotel, with guide assistance, to Dubrovnik Airport for your return flight home.
