Join us to see some of the most vibrant and beautiful flowers in the world on this wonderful garden holiday in Holland. Visit the ‘Garden of Europe’ on a trip to Keukenhof, where every year, approximately 7 million bulbs are planted, including 800 varieties of tulips. It’s one of most beautiful spring gardens in the world and we’ll admire the indoor and outdoor displays of bulbs, tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, which covers over 32 hectares with colour and fragrance. Discover the garden of Jacqueline van der Kloet, the international garden designer, renowned for her artistry in combining bulbs with perennials, shrubs and trees. We’ll also visit individual private gardens in the Northeast Polder, explore the Hortus Bulborum museum garden, and drive along the famous Bulb route to see vivid displays of colourful tulips. We’ll also have a full day to uncover the highlights of Amsterdam, including a canal tour, and we’ll have plenty of free time at leisure to enjoy some of the city’s renowned art museums or the famous flower market. This tour will be led by Rosie Maye, an experienced gardener, and she will be available at all times to help and advise you.

Travel to Amsterdam & Theetuin of Jacqueline van der Kloet
Travel to Amsterdam
Join us this morning for our flight to Amsterdam, escorted by your garden guide, Rosie Maye.
Theetuin of Jacqueline van der Kloet
On arrival we will transfer by private coach to the wonderful garden of Jacqueline van der Kloet. Jacqueline will introduce us to the art of combining bulbs in her borders with perennials, shrubs and trees and share her favourite combinations and varieties. Following our visit we will transfer to our hotel in Amsterdam city.
Evenings free to explore Amsterdam’s many restaurants
Het Zwaluwhuis, De Pegasushof and De Stekkentuin Gardens
Het Zwaluwhuis and De Pegasushof Gardens
Following a leisurely breakfast we will travel through the multi-coloured bulbfields of the Noordoostpolder and the Flevo Polder to the Zwaluwhuis Garden with refreshments on arrival. Our next visit is to the garden of Pegasushof, a garden stylishly converted from a farmyard into formal, structured areas beautifully plantes; time to wander before our included lunch
De Stekkentuin Gardens
Our final visit today is to the garden of Wies Voesten, who has created a garden of foliage and colour over the past 25 years.
Canal tour of Amsterdam & Afternoon at leisure
Canal Tour of Amsterdam
This morning’s excursion will tour the city’s beautiful canals and sights by boat. Highlights include Central Station, the Golden Bend of the Herengracht, the Harlemmersluis floodgates, a section of the river Amstel, and various unique buildings and historical sites.
Afternoon at Leisure
In the afternoon, there will be leisure time to stroll through the famous flower market, explore the city or visit one of the many historical museums such as the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijksmuseum. (Tickets to both these museums can be booked by you in advance of your holiday thus ensuring a shorter wait for entry)
Hortus Bulborium, Keukenhof & Return to Dublin
Hortus Bulborum
After checking out of our hotel we depart for a guided tour of Hortus Bulborum, a collection which began in 1924 when a schoolteacher became aware that the historical tulip cultivars were disappearing. Over 4,000 tulips plus other bulbs are now grown in this special garden.
Keukenhof
This afternoon we will transfer to Keukenhof, for a unique, unforgettable experience. Millions of tulips and other bulbs creatively planted to provide wonderful spring displays.
Besides the spacious 32 hectares of flowers you can enjoy the spectacular flower shows, surprising inspirational gardens, unique art and wonderful events, both in the park and the different pavilions.
Return to Dublin
Later today we will travel to Amsterdam airport for our return flight to Dublin.
