Marrakech City Break

Our Moroccan escape begins as we arrive in Marrakech, where we are welcomed by our local representative and transferred to our hotel.

The rest of the day is free for you to settle in and relax before enjoying our included evening meal together at the hotel.

Please note: For late-night flight arrivals, the included evening meal will be provided on our second evening.

Today we explore the vibrant sights of Marrakech on a guided city tour.

Our journey takes us inside the city's historic walls, where traditional mud-brick homes sit alongside elegant French colonial architecture. Highlights include:

• The beautiful Bahia Palace
• The iconic Koutoubia Mosque (viewed from the outside)
• The historic Saadian Tombs
• The magnificent Medersa Ben Youssef, one of Morocco's finest examples of Islamic architecture

We'll also wander through the colourful Medina and its bustling souks, before finishing our tour in the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the lively heart of Marrakech.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure:

• Continue exploring Marrakech's hidden corners
• Browse the atmospheric markets
• Relax and soak up the city's unique atmosphere

Today we leave the city behind and journey into the spectacular Atlas Mountains on a full-day jeep safari.

Climbing to around 1,800 metres above sea level, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of mountain streams, colourful cliffs, fertile valleys and traditional Berber villages.

• Our first stop is the beautiful Ourika Valley
• Then, we continue through the scenic Oukaimeden Valley, where we'll enjoy a traditional lunch with a local Berber family
• Later, we travel through the Asni Valley, renowned for its orchards of walnut, almond, apple and peach trees
• Enjoy wonderful views towards the snow-capped summit of Mount Toubkal
• Our return journey takes us across the Kik Plateau before arriving back in Marrakech in the late afternoon

Enjoy a relaxed evening at leisure, either making the most of the hotel's facilities or heading back into Marrakech to experience more of the city's vibrant atmosphere.

This morning we visit the enchanting Majorelle Gardens, one of Marrakech's most celebrated attractions.

Created by French artist Jacques Majorelle, the gardens are home to:

• Exotic plants
• Towering cacti
• Tranquil fountains
• The striking cobalt-blue villa that has become one of the city's most recognisable landmarks

The estate, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, also houses the Museum of Islamic Art, offering another fascinating glimpse into Morocco's artistic heritage.

Before we come together for our included evening meal at the hotel, enjoy a final afternoon to explore Marrakech at your own pace:

• Browse the souks for last-minute souvenirs
• Relax in one of the city's cafés
• Revisit your favourite corners of the Medina

After a memorable stay in Marrakech, we transfer to the airport with guide assistance for our flight home, taking with us wonderful memories of Morocco's colourful markets, magnificent architecture and spectacular mountain scenery.
