Transfer to Lake Como

Full Day

Upon landing in Italy, we will be met by our local representative in the arrivals area of the airport, who will escort us to our hotel in the pretty lakeside town of Tremezzo. As we travel our guide will share some information about the local region, suggest activities for us to enjoy and answer any questions we may have.

Explore Lake Como

Morning

After breakfast, join our guide as we set off by boat to discover the towns and villas dotted along the scenic shoreline of the lake. Included on our excursion today is a visit to Villa del Balbianello, one of the most scenic residences of the region. Here we will explore the magnificent terraced gardens and elegant villa.

Afternoon

We have the afternoon to relax and enjoy Lake Como's charms. Shop, sightsee at your own pace or sit by the lake and take in the incredible views.

Excursion to Milan

Full Day

Following breakfast, join our guide and travel by coach to Italy's northern capital and fashion hub; Milan. Our guided tour will provide a fascinating overview of the city, passing the impressive Piazza del Duomo and the world's oldest shopping mall, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (all viewed from outside).

Our excursion today will include a visit to the Duomo which is the third largest cathedral in the world. Construction began in 1386 and it took five centuries to complete.

After our tour join us for a refreshing aperitif followed by  some free time for shopping or visiting some of Milan's numerous museums and art galleries.

Full Day

Today, we will have a full day to relax and enjoy the charms of Lake Como. Our local guide will be happy to suggest activities to suit your interests and advise which highlights are a must-see. You could stretch your legs and admire the views with a walk on the lakeside promenade or relax at your hotel. During the summer months, a short trip on a water taxi will take you to one of the numerous beaches or Lidos on the shores of the lake, most offer amenities such as bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent for a few euros.

Excursion to the Swiss Alps

Full Day

After breakfast our guide will escort us on a full day excursion to the Swiss Alps. After a short visit to the Alpine town of Tirano we board the Bernina Express train. We will savour alpine and glacial vistas on our scenic two hour journey to the elegant Swiss town of St Moritz. Here we will have time to stretch our legs, take in the fresh mountain air and pick up some delicious Swiss chocolate! Our return coach journey to Lake Como will include a visit to the Italian mountain town of Chiavenna before arriving back to our hotel.

Vineyard Visit

Afternoon

Join us this afternoon on a visit to a local winery, Antico Cantinone Domaso. The cellar was built in 1600, renovated in 1850 and, after years of neglect, was given new life as a winery. The terraced vineyards above Domaso are exposed to the mild and breezy climate from the western shore of Lake Como and produce grapes of outstanding quality and value. Our visit will include a tour with our knowledgeable wine maker followed by savouring some of their wines at a tasting session.

Today we can spend our last free day enjoying the beautiful lakeside setting, shopping for last minute souvenirs or enjoying a coffee, gelato or glass of wine at a local cafe.
