We have arrived! Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our local representative at the airport. Before checking in to our hotel, we’ll enjoy a scenic stop at the Fjellheisen cable car. In just four minutes, this ride takes us from Solliveien in Tromsdalen up to Storsteinen, 421 meters above sea level, where breathtaking panoramic views of Tromsø await.
Our journey continues with a visit to the Tromsdalen Church, also known as the Arctic Cathedral (Ishavskatedralen). Dedicated in 1965 and designed by architect Jan Inge Hovig, this striking landmark is visible from the Tromsø Sound, the Tromsø Bridge, and even when approaching by air.
Later this afternoon, we will check in to our hotel and enjoy time at leisure to relax and settle into our new surroundings.

Guided Tour of Tromsø
MorningFollowing breakfast, we embark on a guided walking tour of Tromsø. Together, we will journey through time—from the end of the Ice Age, through the bustling 1800s, and into the present day. Strolling through the city centre, we’ll discover Tromsø’s most iconic landmarks, hear captivating stories of legendary Arctic explorers, and admire statues, memorials, architecture, and historic buildings. Highlights include the harbour and the lively Storgata main street.

AfternoonThe afternoon will be at leisure for relaxing and sightseeing.
Northern Lights Chase
This evening, weather permitting, we set out on a thrilling chase for the Aurora Borealis. Guided by experienced aurora hunters, our route will be adjusted in real time to find the best conditions for sightings. Along the way, we’ll pause to capture photos, marvel at the scenery, and enjoy serene moments beneath the Arctic sky. Warm insulated suits, hot drinks, and light snacks are provided for comfort.
