Top Places To Visit & Tourist Attractions In Lake Garda
Torbole
During his tour of Italy in the late 18th Century, the famous writer Goethe described Torbole as "a marvel of nature, an enchanting place". And this stunning lakeside town still retains its charm and beauty today. On our tours to Lake Garda, we’ll visit this quaint village and fishing harbour, which has preserved its original 15th Century appearance. So, whether you’re interested in exploring the town or simply want to relax and take in the stunning scenery, Torbole will be a highlight of our Lake Garda holiday.
Riva Del Garda
Riva del Garda, located on the northern shore of Lake Garda, is a picturesque retreat framed by towering mountains and sparkling blue waters. While it’s a perfect base for exploring the lake, the town itself is a highlight worth savouring. On our trips to Lake Garda, we’ll stroll its charming streets and beautiful waterfront, immersing ourselves in Italian culture and local charm. With our expert guide, we’ll uncover the region’s rich history as we admire medieval archways, Renaissance churches, and narrow cobbled streets, making Riva del Garda truly enchanting.
Limone
The town of Limone is another beautiful town from which to explore the beauty and history of Lake Garda. The heart of Limone old town is centred around its beautiful little harbour, the Porto Vecchio. This area is a great place to relax and unwind with its picturesque waterfront terraces and plenty of waterfront cafés from which we can enjoy the lakeside views while sipping on a cappuccino. The quaint narrow streets around the port are filled with gorgeous boutiques and shops, and with plenty of free time, we can shop to our hearts’ content.
The Dolomites
The jagged mountain peaks of the Dolomites overlook the northern edge of Lake Garda and many visitors to the lake choose to spend time exploring this impressive mountain range. On our holidays to Lake Garda, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the scenic town of Bolzano in southern Tyrol, known as the gateway to the Dolomites. Get up close to these stunning mountains as we take a cable car ride to the high plateau of Renon before enjoying a train ride through the mountain farms of the beautiful Dolomites.
