Throughout our stay, we'll be based in the charming seaside town of Becici, just a short distance from Budva, providing the perfect base to explore the area’s trails, coastline, and cultural highlights. We’ll hike the beautiful landscapes of Lovcen National Park to visit the Mausoleum of Njegos, soak up the spectacular views of Lake Skadar on the River Crnojevica trek, follow the Vrmac Ridge trail, enjoy a scenic boat trip across the Bay of Kotor, explore the historic town of Kotor, and much more. Walk to River Crnojevića
Lake Skadar to the small village of River Crnojevića
Follow a downhill path from the hills above Lake Skadar to the small village of River Crnojevića. Follow a historic route along an old caravan road and footpath on the left bank of the river. The trail passes one of Montenegro’s earliest hydropower plants and the remains of old mills, offering a look into the area’s industrial past. The varied landscape and quiet surroundings make this a walk that combines natural interest with local history.

Vrmac Ridge Hike
Peninsula between the Bay of Kotor and the Bay of Tivat
Walk along the Vrmac Ridge, a quiet peninsula between the Bay of Kotor and the Bay of Tivat. The trail passes old fortifications and hamlets, with rewarding views of both bays. Return to Budva for dinner and an evening at leisure.

Begin at 765 metres above sea level and follow an old caravan route that once linked the coast with the mountains. Today, it forms part of a walking trail with wide views over the Budva Riviera and Montenegro’s coastline. As you continue along the path, the landscape opens out to reveal a different perspective on this part of the country, combining rocky hillsides, open skies and the distant Adriatic below. Rich in local character and history, this is a memorable walk that offers both a sense of the past and the natural beauty of Montenegro’s coastal region.

Kotor & Bay Excursion
Take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed city of Kotor
Take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed city of Kotor, with its medieval streets and squares. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour speedboat trip on the Bay of Kotor, including a visit to Our Lady of the Rocks island.

Transfer back to Dubrovnik for your flight to Dublin.
After breakfast, say farewell to Montenegro and begin your transfer back to Dubrovnik Airport for your return flight to Dublin. The journey north offers a final chance to soak up the extraordinary scenery of the Adriatic coast, with shimmering waters, rugged mountains and beautiful bays accompanying you along the route. It’s a fitting finale to a week of rewarding walks, unforgettable landscapes and warm Montenegrin hospitality.
