Join us for the perfect blend of relaxation, culture, history and independent exploration on this 7-night Italian holiday. Your hotel in the delightful town of Gabicce Mare is a fantastic base to explore all this sun soaked region has to offer. As part of your vacation, we’ll arrange day trips to some of the most interesting historical sites in the area. Take a full day trip to Bologna, considered by many to be the food capital of Italy, and explore the fantastic traditional food markets and the Gelato Museum on a guided walking tour. We’ll also visit the world’s oldest republic, San Marino; and the last capital of the western Roman Empire, Ravenna. During your time at leisure, sun worshipers can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Italy's Adriatic coast, or you can ask your guide for recommendations of local attractions and activities that would interest you.

Today you will enjoy a full day excursion to Ravenna, most famous for its extensive Christian & Byzantine mosaics with UNESCO world heritage status. Enjoy a guided walking tour of this historic city and last capital of the western Roman Empire before an afternoon at leisure for sightseeing and shopping of your choice.

Full Day Excursion to Bologna
Depart your hotel by coach to begin your full day excursion to Bologna, one of Italy's most beautiful cities. Begin your visit with a walking tour of the traditional food markets which the Emilia Romagna region of Italy is famous for before enjoying some free time at leisure. In the afternoon join your guide for a walking tour around the historic centre where sights include Piazza Maggiore with Neptune's fountain and St Petronio's Basilica. Transfer back to your hotel in the afternoon with a visit to the Gelato Museum included on route.
Explore Italy's Adriatic Riviera at Your Own Pace
Today you can do as you wish; whether relaxing in the hotel, a bit of shopping or some more sightseeing. Why not take a stroll on the beach or enjoy an al fresco lunch or sip a glass of prosecco as you look out onto the Adriatic. As always, our expert guide will be available to suggest local attractions and activities.
Trip to San Marino
Following breakfast depart your hotel for an excursion to the Republic of San Marino, the oldest republic in the world! Enjoy a guided walking tour as you explore hilly San Marino's narrow, quirky streets and historic sights before taking a cable car to the top of Mount Titano offering spectacular views of the countryside.
Time to say 'arrivederci' to Italy. Transfer from your hotel, with guide assistance, for your flight home.
