For a taste of Real Italy, join us on this guided holiday to Le Marche, a region of outstanding natural beauty situated between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. Renaissance art, awe-inspiring mountainous landscape and fine beaches are just some of the lures of this wonderful destination. We’ll stay in the coastal town of Pesaro, birthplace of famous composer Gioacchino Rossini, which boasts the happy combination of a charming historic centre and a superb beach. Our Italy trip will take us to many Le Marche gems, including the university city of Urbino, home to countless artistic and architectural masterpieces; Gradara, whose beautifully preserved castle is thought to be the scene of Dante’s tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca.

Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by our guide at Bologna Airport. Our guide will then accompany us as we are transferred to our hotel in the lovely seaside town of Pesaro, on Italy's Adriatic coast.

Let’s see more of Pesaro.
We will have the morning free to relax and settle into our hotel, or why not get our bearings with a leisurely stroll through Pesaro and uncover the main square, Piazza del Popolo.
Guided Walking Tour of Pesaro
Join us this afternoon as we enjoy a guided walking tour of Pesaro, the birthplace of the world famous composer Gioacchino Rossini. Here we will discover more of the historic town centre with its Medieval and Renaissance monuments and a modern quarter which extends out towards the sea.
Urbino
Full Day Excursion to Urbino
After breakfast, we set off for a full day excursion to Urbino. Here we will enjoy panoramic views of the glorious landscape and a visit to the heart of the walled city.
Sturdy footwear is recommended today as Urbino is a hilltop town with many cobbled streets.
Let’s get together with our fellow travellers and enjoy lunch (included) in a local restaurant in this historic town.
Guided Excursion to Gradara
Gradara & Wine Tasting
After breakfast, join us for a full day visit to Gradara. We will be guided through this charming town which is thought to have been the scene of Dante's tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca. After lunch (included) with our fellow travellers, we continue our tour to one of the region's vineyards and cellars to taste some local wines.

Free Time in Pesaro
Enjoy a free day to explore the area and discover more of Pesaro at a leisurely pace. Why not take a stroll on the beach, savour an al fresco lunch in one of the many restaurants or sip a glass of prosecco as you look out onto the Adriatic. Our local representative will be pleased to offer recommendations for sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment options in the area.
Gubbio & Città Di Castello
Explore Gubbio & Città Di Castello
Today, visit Gubbio, a medieval town in Umbria known as the “city of fools,” with its steep cobbled streets, historic stone buildings, and impressive 13th–14th century architecture.
Enjoy a tasting of typical local cured meats and cheeses before heading to Città di Castello, where a walk through the historic center reveals remnants of 16th-century walls and deep ties to Roman and Renaissance history.

On this final day, take some time to relax and enjoy more of your surroundings. Our local representative will be pleased to offer recommendations.
Return Home
Depart Italy
Time to bid farewell to the beautiful region of Le Marche. Our guide will accompany us as we are transferred to the airport for our flight home.
